Skin Tags

Skin tags are small pieces of skin that stick out from the skin’s surface and are usually only connected to the skin by a thin stalk of tissue. They are usually created through friction, such as from clothing rubbing against the skin. Most are acquired during life, although some people are born with skin tags. Skin tags are often found on the neck, underarms, skin folds, beneath the breasts, and in the groin area. While they are not harmful, skin tags can be considered unsightly. Skin tags may be removed to smooth out the skin.
