Medovate’s Summer Updates from Dr. David Mann

Dear Medovate Patients and Friends,

My thoughts have been with you, especially during the latest phase of the pandemic. I hope that you and your loved ones are enjoying your summer in good health.

Office Updates

First and foremost, I want to ensure you know my dermatology colleagues, all of whom share my passion for providing impeccable patient care. I’ll take a moment here to (re)introduce them to you.

Dr. Elizabeth Springer

Please meet board-certified dermatologist Elizabeth Springer, MD, FAAD, who brings more than thirty years of experience to Medovate. Dr. Springer leads our team at the Whiting, IN office, and also offers her expertise in both general and aesthetic dermatology at our Buffalo Grove office.

Dr. Jordan Carqueville

Meet Dr. Jordan Carqueville, my long-time friend and colleague, dermatologist and Mohs surgeon. Dr. Carqueville sees patients in Chicago at the Medovate Lake Shore Drive office and in Buffalo Grove.

Tech News

I am thrilled to tell you about our exciting new technology: DermEngine Total Body Photography (TBP). This state-of-the-art AI-based technology takes skin cancer screening to a new level of accessibility and accuracy. TBP enhances our capacity to track anomalies on your skin and points out any new or changing lesions on your skin over time.

Through our partnership with MetaOptima, developer of DermEngine, Medovate is the first practice in the Greater Chicago area to use their software to create a comprehensive digital map of your skin using this technology. For more information and specifics on how DermEngine can map and track changes in your skin, click here.

I also invite you to take a few moments to watch my message sharing more details below.

Final Thoughts

My colleagues and I will continue to do everything possible to protect your health and safety. All Medovate staff members are COVID-19 vaccinated. We adhere to all CDC recommended COVID-19 protocols, and we encourage you to get vaccinated, and to follow current CDC guidance on physical distancing and mask-wearing. Masks covering the nose and mouth are required for all in-office visits.

You can request teledermatology appointments at your convenience by phone (847-499-5500) or on our website.

Our goal is to make sure you feel as comfortable as possible when coming to our offices. We are honored to have your continued trust, and we are grateful that you have chosen Medovate for your dermatological care.

We welcome your comments at any time. Know that we love hearing from you.
